in-cosmetics Asia to feature expanded workshops and awards programmes
This year’s in-cosmetics event, taking place in Bangkok 6 – 8 November, will feature a number of new and additional features, including the biggest workshop programme to date and two industry awards.

This year the event will be the largest to date, says organiser Reed Exhibitions, and features the expanded workshop programme, marketing trend sessions, innovations seminars and the return of the innovation zone – featuring new products.

The workshops will be a core element of the show this year, the organizer says, and have been designed to platform key market analysts, consultants and experts who are familiar with the cosmetics and personal care market in Asia Pacific.

Workshops include key topics such as hair care, regulations – both in the EU and Asia, plus two workshops on formulation, one aimed at basic formulation techniques and the other aimed at more advanced techniques.

There will also be a workshop focusing on the fast-growing naturals market: The Interactive Natural and Organic Workshop, which will be given by top industry expert Dr. Barbara Olioso of Organatural Cosmetics Developments.

Dr. Olioso has also given an exclusive interview with Cosmetics Design that details some of the objectives of this workshop, which will be published later on this week.

Likewise, the event will also feature to large scale industry awards, namely the Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award 2012, together with an award to recognise the best in research and development in the Asia Pacific region, The R&D Awards 2012.

“This is the biggest show in our five-year history, with up to 300 exhibitors set to take their place and more than 5,000 visitors expected. in-cosmetics Asia is the must-attend event for anyone involved in the personal care industry in Asia and we’re looking forward to opening the doors to encourage innovation, education and the sharing of knowledge across the region,” said Sarah Gibson, exhibition director at in-cosmetics Asia.

Indeed, Reed says that it is expecting over 30 first time exhibitors to this year’s show, including names like At Lab Co of South Korea, Natural Sourcing from the US and Toyo Sugar Refining from Japan.

Amongst the exhibitors will be all the leading multinational ingredients and fine chemical players, including names such as BASF, Croda, DSM and Evonik, who have all been increasing their footprint in the region in recent years.

This move comes as all the big multinational finished goods players, including L’Oreal, Procter & Gamble and Unilever, expand their presence in the region, a move that is prove particularly pertinent in view of the stagnation seen in the developed markets of Western Europe and North America.

The in-cosmetics Asia event will take place at the BITEC exhibition venue in Bangkok. Individuals wishing to register for the event may do so by clicking here. www.in-cosmeticsasia.com/register
