People on the move: cosmetics jobs

Cosmetics giant Estée Lauder ​has continued to develop its social media involvement by naming fashion blogger Emily Schuman​ as its new guest editor for digital and social media platforms.

It is the first time the Estée Lauder brand has integrated a blogger’s voice into its brand communication, and Schuman will work across all of the company’s social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

Another EL brand, Jo Malone London​, has also been busy naming Jean-Guillaume Trottier​ as its new global general manager and Charlotte Stockdale​ as its new style director.

New year new hires​

Bell Flavors and Fragrances​ has announced new year promotions at its Northbrook Headquarters, as Michael Natale​ was promoted to the position of general manager of Bell Mexico located in Guadalajara, and Katie Gutierrez​ was given the responsibility of leading the marketing team at Bell’s headquarters in Northbrook.

Gutierrez will also coordinate and organize the Marketing teams in the US, Mexico, Canada, and Brazil as a liaison between all four divisions with high priority on Communication and product push to all sales groups and customers.

As a part of a move to integrate the corporation's beauty care products business, Kao Corporation​ named John Nosek​ president of its US subsidiary.

Beginning this month, Kao Corporation's beauty care subsidiaries in North America and Europe will run as unified organizations in the major countries in which they operate, with Nosek overseeing the Consumer Products Business, Professional Salon Business, and Molton Brown USA.

Specialty chemical hires​

Staying in the US, Robert Shengkui Hu​ has joined HallStar’s​ senior management team as vice president, Research and Development.

He will initially report to and replace Gary Wentworth​, who will retire from the specialty chemical company this year after overseeing the transition of his responsibilities.

Chemicals firm Lubrizol​ promoted Vincent S. Misiti​ to global business manager of its personal care business, as well as Robert C. Richardson​ to vice president and general manager of Active Organics​, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lubrizol Advanced Materials.

Misiti will be responsible for the strategic market focus of the company’s personal care business, developing and implementing growth strategies, organizational alignment and prioritizing business development initiatives.

Richardson will be responsible for leading the business strategies of the Active Organics business, as well as assisting with its day-to-day operations.

And finally, US-based mineral make-up company Bare Escentuals​ has promoted Simon Cowell​, formerly its chief marketing officer, to the role of chief executive officer.
