Indena gets ecocert validation for centella asiatica

Italy-based active cosmetic ingredients provider Indena says it has secured Ecocert validation for its plant derived Centella asiatica line.

The extract, which is also Kosher, Halal and GMP, is formulated to be water soluble and contains around 45 per cent triterpenes and 55 per cent polyphenols, making it suitable for both nutricosmetic and green cosmetic product formulations.

"Following on from the validations received for Opextan and Zanthalene, this further Ecocert validation confirms Indena's committment to innovation, care for the environment and social responsibility," said Daniele Giavini, general manager of Indena.

The Centella asiatica extract produced by Indena, is sources from the leaves of the Centella plant from Madagascar, and is thought to be one of the few derivatives of the plant to receive such validation.
