Rexam targets need for superior fragrance spray technology
Packaging giant Rexam is to unveil a new dispensing technologies at this week’s Luxe Pack Monaco. Panache is a new spray technology for premium fragrances that has been five years in development.

Because the technology is aimed at the upper end of the fragrance market, obtaining the correct type of spray is essential to both the product's definition and differentiation. To this end it is crucial to achieve optimum spray dispersion.

According to Rexam, the Panache technology ‘delivers a continuous, and exceptionally airy, light and dry spray.’ The technology is the result of long hours of research by a team specialising in dispensing technology and ‘the art of spray’.

Technology can be adapted to a variety of fragrances

What is most interesting about the spray is the fact that it allows the dispenser to be adapted according to control the size and dispersion of formula particles.

Given that the different ingredients used in fragrances make for a wide variety of particle sizes, this means that the dispersion can be adapted and tailored according to different requirements, ensuring that it is at its optimum.

This functionality makes the spray technology infinitely more flexible while also making it totally different to regular sprays, the company claims, in turn giving it a unique selling point.

Smaller droplet size, longer lasting fragrance

Technically, this means that the droplet’s average size is approximately 33 per cent lighter, allowing for easier and better dispersion reach, while also claiming to be 40 per cent drier, six-times longer lasting and twice as deep.

It is also suitable to a range of different formulation types, including alcohol, water and oil bases, providing a smooth and hushed spray, synonymous with the prestige fragrance segment.

“Our success is based on our research on consumers’ needs and customers’ expectations. Panache reflects those efforts as it is simply the state-of-the-art when it comes to spray dispensing,” said Carole Grassi, category manager – cosmetics, Rexam Personal Care.

”Further, it demonstrates Rexam’s ability to create advanced solutions unheard of only a few years ago,” she added.
