BASF to highlight latest market trends and ingredients at SEPAWA

BASF says it will unveil its latest ingredients for the personal care market at the SEPAWA Congress in Fulda, Germany, October 12 – 14.

The Care Chemicals division will highlight the latest concepts and products, as well as focusing on how the company can meet the specific and individual requirements of formulators.

BASF will also participate in the comprehensive SEPAWA conference programme, as well as the Forum for Innovation, where it will share its latest technological advances as well as cluing in on key industry trends that it is facing up to.

Focus on personal care solutions

Together with personal care, the company will also be highlighting solutions for the home care market and the Industrial and Institutional cleaning categories.

Its focus on the personal care market will concentrate on formulation and ingredient solutions that enhance a consumers’ sense of well-being – a trend of growing importance in the industry.

The company says that in particular sensitive skin is a growing area of importance for consumers and that as a result the demand from formulators for tailored solutions that cater to this need is growing.

Sensitive Skin concept

As a result, BASF has come up with the Sensitive Skin concept, which aims to offer formulation customers solutions that are targeted specifically at high performance skin care and cleansing products.

The company claims that all the solutions it has developed for this category are likewise dermatologically proven for use with sensitive skin types.

The company will also be platforming a series of hair care solutions that target consumer well-being through its Wash Treat Style concept.

At the show BASF will demonstrate a series of hair care solutions, demonstrating testing methods for performance parameters in hair washing treatments, while also focusing specifically on surfactant, conditioner and styling aspects of hair care solutions.

The concept has also been designed around meeting customers’ developing needs for properties such as foam, mildness, compatibility, anti-hair breakage and repair, as well as long lasting and strong hold for styling.

During the event the company will also be highlighting a number of specific innovations at the Forum for Innovations in Hall 2. This will include a presentation about sensitive skin at 10.15am on October 12th.
