Alban Muller launches ready made bases for natural skin care products
The France-based company has traditionally been known for its natural ingredients but has been offering tailor made formulations for customers for some time.
Save time on formulating
These new ‘Ami-feels’ products are a way of speeding up the tailor made formulating, helping to save customers time and money, explained spokesperson for the company Majorie Bateman.
“These products can help save time during the formulation phase. Instead of starting from scratch clients can start from an already established formula,” she told CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com.
The Ami-feel products can be customised by adding natural actives, fragrances and colours, she explained.
While the company is not closed to using actives from other suppliers in the products, Bateman explained that Alban Muller will retain control of the formulating process.
Good sensorial properties without silicone
In addition to saving time, she also said the ready made products can help customers solve some of the tricky formulation problems that often challenge natural products, notably retaining good sensorial properties.
“We propose formulas that have good textures and sensory properties while remaining natural and silicone free,” she said.
Alban Muller has launched eight products in the Ami-feel range: two serums, two light emulsions, one gel-cream, one mixed texture and two rich creams; which can be used as nourishing products, moisturising creams and day and night treatments.
The company is also working on a number of other textures to be released in the near future including a milk and a shower gel.
According to Alban Muller, the base products can be certified natural by Natrue, Ecocert and Cosmos.
