Henkel adhesive prices increase due to rising raw material costs

Henkel has increased the prices for certain product groups of its Packaging, Consumer Goods & Construction Adhesives in Europe by 10 to 15 percent depending on the product category.

The price increases are due to supply pressures and rising costs for raw materials and packaging. Henkel feels compelled to take this step in order to further ensure an optimum quality in its innovative and trend-setting products, services and solutions.

“With continuous improvements in our business efficiency we have been doing all we can to cope with these upstream cost increases. However, we have reached a point where increasing our adhesive price is unavoidable if we are to continue delivering the same high quality product and service standards expected by our customers,” said Jean Fayolle, corporate senior vice president, Packaging, Consumer Goods & Construction Adhesives.

Henkel’s Packaging, Consumer Goods & Construction Adhesives segment mainly delivers a broad portfolio of hotmelt, polyurethane and water-based solutions for packaging, labeling, paper converting, tissue and towel, tapes, hygiene products, graphic arts as well as building and furniture.
