Valois faces up to challenges of sustainability and tough economy
CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com recently visited the company’s production facility in Louvciennes, Northwest of Paris, where marketing and innovation manager Patrick Bousquel explained about how the company is adapting to these market needs.
The company is strategically positioned in the beauty packaging cluster, represented by industry association Cosmetic Valley, from where it serves some of the biggest names in the business, including the world’s number one player L’Oreal.
As Bousquel explains in the podcast, the company has had to approach the issue of sustainability by adapting both the design of the packaging as well as the materials used in an effort to meet tougher requirements on recycling as well as creating cleaner manufacturing processes.
Likewise, Bousquel also explains how Valois has had to work to the economic environment with initiatives such as smaller-sized products, as well as incorporating design elements that help the brands stand out in the increasingly competitive market.
