Recycled PET bottles pave the way for eco-friendly caps
Pellets derived from recycled PET bottles are the secret to the latest in eco-friendly caps from France-based packaging provider VPI.

In this audio podcast company president and CEO Gilles Pauget describes how the main challenge was to develop a cap made from recycled materials with an aesthetically pleasing finish.

Pauget also describes the reasons to develop ‘R’PET’ caps, including the technical challenges involved in its conception and subsequent production, together with the advantages it brings in the manufacturing process.

Likewise Pauget stresses the advantages this recycled packaging brings to finished goods providers who want to achieve certification standards such as Ecocert.

The cap packaging was showcased for the first time in October 2009 at the Luxe Pack show in Monacowhen project Naya was launched. The project is the result of VPI collaboration with four other companies to produce the 100 per cent eco-friendly skin care product, Naya.
