Eco-beauty range, Evolve Beauty, has chosen packaging from M&H Plastics for its eco-friendly range of beauty products.

The range is entirely biodegradable and comprises of 12 certified organic, sustainable beauty products which combine green ingredients and eco-packaging.

Evolve Beauty selected a petal-shaped bottle from M&H’s standard product range, which was manufactured in Post Consumer Regrind (PCR) HDPE material, made from recycled milk bottles.

PCR plastic conserves energy and non-renewable resources as recycling replaces the need for primary extraction and the manufacture of new plastics, according to M&H plastics.

The Evolve range also includes a jar which is manufactured from Post Industrial Regrind (PIR) PP material, waste recovered from industrial processes.

Shaun Catchpole, the company's New Business Development Manager, explained how M&H is committed to developing their sustainable packaging range.

“As part of our Environmental Policy M&H has been working for some time on being able to bring to market a range of sustainable packaging solutions that are not only manufactured in recyclable plastics, but also use material that has been recovered from the waste stream, post consumer or industrial use.”

M&H’s Environmental Policy outlines the company’s commitment to the environment by ensuring the minimum practical amount of harmful emissions.

Speaking about the partnership, Laura Rudoe, managing director of Good Ventures, told CosmeticsDesign: “We chose to work with M&H because of their commitment to environmentally friendly packaging. They have enabled us to make our entire range out of recycled plastic.”

“Having both our bottles and our products manufactured in the UK enables us to minimise the miles travelled by our product, which reduces our carbon footprint,” she added.

M&H plastics also worked with Naked Bodycare in 2007 to develop their ‘Born Again Plastics’ range which was made from 100% PET PCR, and with Neal’s Yard Remedies who used 100% PCR bottles.
