SpongeTech expands health and beauty line with acquisition
Sponge specialist SpongeTech has acquired Dicon Technologies allowing it to offer cosmetics sponges as parts of its health and beauty portfolio.
The New York-based company currently markets ‘smarter sponges’ for car care, home care and pet care, along with its child care range.
Dicon Technologies currently focuses on cosmetic, footwear and medical markets and the acquisition will add over 15 sponge-based cosmetic applicator and cleansing products.
The products are based on a latex-free, hydrophilic foam material which, according to Dicon, means it will not crumble, peel, flake or have an unpleasant odor.
