Valois has just launched its latest sample packaging product, which it claims adapts to new consumer trends in cosmetics by providing a sample dispensing bottle which is both hygienic and functional for multi-use.

Easy Cosm is part of the Cosm’ Sampling range and comes in 5ml and 10 ml bottles. It has been developed to dispense gel, liquid or cream.

Meets new trends in sampling functionality

Valois, which has been producing dispensing systems for cosmetics and beauty companies for 60 years, says that more and more consumers want to test products before buying. Moreover, it is said that consumers now want to test the product more than once and this new bottle has been designed with this ‘multiple use’ in mind.

The company has satisfied this requirement by developing a dispensing system which claims to guarantee that the product will not dry up. This is achieved by the automatic plug in the push button, which ensures that the product does not come into contact with the air.

As well as ensuring that the product lasts longer, this solution is also said to make the bottle more hygienic. Zero contact between the spring and the formulation has been ensured so that the product does not touch any other elements of the package.

Satisfies demand for ‘transparency’

The new sampling bottle in this range has also been designed to give a positive brand image for cosmetics and beauty companies.

Claiming to ‘play the fashion card’, the spray mechanism in the bottle is transparent, leaving the contained formulation totally visible for the consumer. This bottle ‘clarity’ reflects a popular trend in cosmetics packaging for transparency.

In addition, Valois has ensured that the packaging has been designed with ‘minimum environmental impact’. The number of components used in the package has been reduced from 14 to 7 and the entire bottle is recyclable.

Valois has previously adapted to the trend for ‘green packaging’, having previously developed a screw-on pump which allows the consumer to recycle their perfume bottles.

The company also recently announced the appointment of a new president of its American operations, Alex Theodorakis. The packaging specialist said that one of his key objectives will be to develop the beauty side of the company in North America.
