Chitin-glucan ingredient from KitoZyme gets Ecocert recognition
An anti-aging active from Belgium-based company KitoZyme is now listed as Ecocert compliant.
KiOsmetine-CG is made of chitin and beta-glucan from vegetative sources, so it represents an alternative to the traditional shellfish derived chitin ingredients for companies wishing to avoid animal products.
According to the company the active can help protect skin against pollution, while restoring the skin barrier and firmness.
With the label, Ecocert are recognising the company’s efforts to respect the environment in its ingredients manufacture, KitoZyme said.
