Skincode combines active ingredients and layer technology

Switzerland-base Skincode has launched a new line of anti-aging skin care products based on a combination of active ingredients known as ‘time rewinding’.

This combination of actives has been formulated in what the company terms a layer technology – claimed to be a world first – which allows the cream to form layers once applied.

This layering technique is claimed to imitate the structure of the skin, effectively acting as a second skin, consequently providing both protection against environmental hazards and allowing for the active ingredient to take better effect.

Meanwhile, lipids and water molecules contained in the formulation interact with the phospholipids present in the skin, enhancing cell membranes and the structure at an intercellular level.

Key ingredient, CM-Glucan

The key active ingredient in the formulation is CM-Glucan, which is said to play an essential part in maximising both the anti-aging functionality, as well as stimulating the skin’s auto-defense mechanism.

The upside of the technology is that it can help to rehydrate the skin, in turn diminishing lines and wrinkles caused by dehydration as well as expression wrinkles caused by the the ageing process.

Targeting both males and females, the Time Rewinding line will feature three different products – Day Cream with SPF 15 for the face and neck, a Night Cream, also for the face and neck, together with an Eye Cream, for the delicate area under the eyes.

Natural cruelty-free formulation

Tapping into the fast-growing trend for natural products, all the products in the line are formulated without preservatives, perfumes or colourants, and none of the ingredients have been tested on animals.

Skincode is based in Zurich, Switzerland, where all the research and development of its extensive product lines are carried out.

Divided into two basic brands – Essentials and Exclusive – the company’s product portfolio currently includes over 30 different products covering all aspects of skin care, from skin whitening to anti-ageing, cleansing and beauty from within products.
