France-based Valois claims to have released the world’s smallest fragrance dispenser measuring less than 1 cm.

The Elixir micro-dispenser measures 9.9mm or 13mm for a larger 100 micro litre dose.

The dimensions of the product are combined with a transparent plunger tube so that the eye is not unnecessarily drawn to the dispensing mechanism.

Benefits more than just aesthetic

Nevertheless, Valois argues that the benefits to Elixir are not merely aesthetic. The spraying mechanism features a newly patented spraying insert, whilst two pre-compressed springs in the mechanism make for a smooth spray.

In addition, the fragrance does not come into contact with any metal components which can help protect certain fragrances that react badly with these parts.

Valois launched the product at Luxe Pack Monaco last month and believes the discrete dispenser is perfectly designed for the luxury fragrance market.

Aiming at luxury fragrance

“Precious fragrances and glamorous bottles reveal the true colours of the art of perfumery, and yet any little thing can upset this subtle and delicate balance,” said the company when explaining the release of the miniature product.

The company used the previous Luxe Pack exhibition, held in New York this summer, to showcase another of its offerings for the cosmetics industry, this time focusing on the application of formulations to the face.

Evolux Eyes and Lips was designed specifically to apply products to the contours of the eyes and lips.

It offers a micro-dose with maximum precision, according to the company, which also highlights that the completely metal free system will respect even the most fragile formulas.
