European cosmetics trade body Colipa has unveiled a new website designed to be clearer and easier to navigate, as well as containing more information.

The new website design features more graphics and illustrations, aimed at enhancing the aesthetics of the site, together wtih a new navigation panel that highlights key areas of the industry.

The top navigation panels features five sections - About Colipa, Safety & Science, Well-Being, Using Cosmetics and News & Brief – with each one giving access to a new page and drop-down menu.

Following the internet trend

The move follows the trend that has seen the cosmetics industry move more and more towards the internet, both as a source of information and as a means of marketing and retailing products.

But whereas many of the first generation of websites were often badly designed and hard to navigate, the new generation of websites is moving towards incorporating more and more information while combining easier navigational means.

"This new edition of the Colipa website will enable our stakeholders to have improved access to information about the cosmetics industry,“ said Colipa director general, Bertil Heerink.

"We are confident that this new site will improve the dialogue, to which we attach much importance.“
