Bioland Korea has developed a Hyaluronic Acid extract that
overcomes the formulation difficulties caused by its high molecular
weight.

The natural active ingredients manufacturer, which trades in Europe under the name Sochibios, has created a low weight alternative to the moisturizing ingredient. Product claims The company said the extract, which is called Oligo HA, has good skin permeability and promotes synthesis of Hyaluronic Acid in the skin providing a long-lasting moisturizing effect. Bioland Korea's products are distributed in Europe by Safic-Alcan, which is currently working to gain Ecocert certification for some of its extracts. Technical and commercial representatives from Bioland Korea, which also develops ingredients using oriental herbal medicines, will be present at the Safic-Alcan stand L188 at In Cosmetics in Amsterdam. French active ingredients Earlier in the week France-base Sochibo, which is also represented by Safic-Alcan, released newly collated test data on the application of its product Dextralip 10C. The company produced the literature to support its claims that the natural cosmetic ingredient minimises erythema, prevents water retention and softens sensitive skin. Produced through bio-fermentation, the ingredient can be used in a number of cosmetics from after-shave to sun care products. Safic-Alcan UK also announced that it will be adding more Sochibo products to its range in the next week or so after adding several of its organic products to its range in January.
