Janson Beckett launches vitamin C facial serum
the first antioxidant to precisely blend two key vitamin C sources
- magnesium ascorbyl phosphate and sodium ascorbate - in an
anti-ageing treatment that capitalizes on antioxidant and collagen
syntheses properties, reports Simon Pitman.
The company says that its Vitamin 'C & C' Facial Serum has been specifically developed to enable consumers - especially those with sensitive skin - to enhance collagen production while minimising the risk of skin irritation and dryness, common side-effects for many who rely on standard Vitamin C products.
In recent years scientific studies have increasingly indicated that vitamin C (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate) has an ability to 'kick-start' sluggish skin cells into collagen synthesis, an integral part of the wrinkle reduction process. When collagen levels are raised, fine lines and wrinkles fill in and skin damage from environmental causes can be repaired and often prevented.
The company conducted its own comprehensive clinical research into the serum and then test marketed the product through a leading spa company in the US before the product was launched onto the market.
"Vitamin C formulas can be very acidic and produce more skin exfoliation than desired," said Peter Rullan, M.D., director of Dermatology Institute, Chula Vista, California.
"Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate is a water-soluble derivative of Vitamin C that is gaining momentum among astute skincare developers like Janson Beckett who can now attain the benefits of an antioxidant at optimum, safer concentration levels."
Janson Beckett, which is a leading developer and manufacturer of age-defying peptide skin products, says the serum contains precise blending of dual vitamin C sources, along with lightening extracts - including mulberry, lime, lemon, and bitter orange - that work to lighten and remove dark spots and age spots caused by UV-A and UV-B exposure.
The serum is said to also excel when used as a standalone product. It can be incorporated into all skincare regimens, and provides complementary value to the company's skincare line, which features the industry's only complete amino-peptide, anti-aging treatment: AlphaDerma CE.
AlphaDerma's formulation of skin rejuvenating and firming ingredients include 10 per cent argireline, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin-C Ester, DMAE, Elastin, collagen, and soy. The formulation mimics the effects of Botox, but the company says the treatment is less expensive and risky.
The company also produces organic cleansers/toners, AH3 facial prep, and intensive under-eye serum, that are available through retail outlets in the US as well as its own website.
