Univar appointed UK distributor for biocide specialist MGS MicroPure
MGS MicroPure, a manufacturer and blender of biocides and cosmetic
preservatives under the Paratexin brand.
Univar's personal care and pharmaceutical division delivers speciality chemicals and ingredients to the pharmaceutical and personal care industries and offers the broadest portfolio of ingredients and excipients of any distributor in the UK marketplace, said the company.
MGS MicroPure was established little more than one year ago, and since then its Paratexin range of biocides has been used extensively in personal care products such as hand soaps, shampoo and skincare products.
"As a young and small but rapidly growing business with a top flight product range, getting our products into the marketplace and to customers is of key importance," says MGS MicroPure's technical director Dene Godfrey.
"Our internal resources are principally technical and manufacturing so aligning ourselves with a first class distributor is essential to our continuing development. In reviewing the options, Univar was the obvious choice," he continued.
"In addition to its comprehensive distribution network, [Univar] is specialized in our sector, understands our product base and our end-users. Importantly, the fact that we are a relatively small business at present makes no difference to the level of service Univar provides us with," he added.
In addition, Univar provides fully integrated product distribution and support services to a wide customer base throughout the UK. Services include comprehensive technical back-up, product development, formulation services and product testing.
