Dual possibilities for manufacturers

Airspray International today announced the launch of the first
dual-chambered foam mechanism to be made for consumer products.
Entering the market in the company's third quarter, the Dual Foamer
opens up new design possibilities for personal care manufacturers.

"Airspray research shows that foam is the delivery medium most preferred by consumers. Consumers like the way it feels and the way the foam works - it is a little touch of luxury and that creates 'value-added' for product manufacturers," said Airspray CEO Robert Brands.

The new patented foam dispensing mechanism is claimed by Airspray to let consumers apply advanced formulation products conveniently without drips, spills, blotches or streaks.

The Airspray Dual Foamer consists of two small foam pumps. A single actuator activates both pumps simultaneously, keeping ingredients seperate until the moment of application. At that point, the ingredients combine to create an instant, 50/50 foam formulation. Output is claimed to be 0.8 ml per stroke.

Now available for sampling, the new product is thought to benefit different personal care categories such as suncare, acne treatments and dandruff preparations.

The company also unveiled the industry's first quality assurance plan, which claims to promise perfect operations of every product shipped. The new policy ensures that every single instant-foam pump received by an Airspray customer is tested and operates perfectly.

Airspray International offers 21 variations of proven, precision-engineered foam dispensers. They provide instant foam without the need for chemical propellants.

Based in the Netherlands the company claims to have delivered over 375 million pumps world-wide. As the role of the dispenser has grown in the sales and merchandising of 'sprayed' consumer products, ten per cent of the company's world-wide workforce has now been utilised for researching and developing purposes.

Airspray's research and prototyping has helped clients such as Bristol-Myers, Clairol, Colgate, Henkel-Schwarzkopf, L'Oreal, Unilever, Wella and Yves Rocher.

Founded in 1983 Airspray International has developed environmentally-friendly dispensing solutions for multinational firms in both the personal care and pharmaceutical markets. Email for more information about Airspray.
