Organic Doctor skin care in America
The naturally inspired UK brand is now able to expand in the US markets, thanks to a global rise in demand for organic cosmetic products.

Having been accredited by organizations like EcoCert Natural, the personal care range is said to be the first of its kind to have made it onto wellness retailer, Vitamin World's shelves.

"The unique health and wellness positioning of this range is a wonderful addition to our inventory and a natural extension of our business,” say retailer reps on the venture.

This rise in demand for organic products presents tremendous opportunities for manufacturers and retailers in the segment and the natural personal care sector continues to remain undeterred by the global economic slowdown.

According to market researcher Mintel, natural products are now finally becoming more affordable and "consumers are gravitating toward multi-functional products that allow them to get more benefits while saving them both time and money.”

Meanwhile; Kline reports the global natural personal care category to have been experiencing double-digit growth since 2005, and will continue to see a rise, until it exceeds $6 billion in 2015.

As the segment grows, the industry is calling for ‘more certification'

As demand rises for natural / organic products and the sector continues to grow, US based Herbalix is one personal care manufacturer calling for more certification of ingredients used in products.

There has been confusion and debate over the certification of ingredients in the industry for some time now and as the organic personal care sector is expected to outperform conventional products soon, this company's CEO, Mike Fessler believes now is the time to act.

He says, as the industry is self-regulated when it comes to organic certification, consumers are showing more concerns about certain ingredients in personal care products, despite us seeing more in the way of certification; "the presence of true certification and standards is still needed, particularly when it comes to stricter standards for retailers as well as new government legislation to protect consumers.
