usNeo™ Anti-Dandruff
usNeo is an innovative botanical active developed for the use in anti-dandruff shampoos and related hair care products. It is derived from the lichen Usnea barbata, a medical plant which has been used in traditional medicine for centuries. The active ingredient in usNeo, usnic acid, is effectively treating the microbial cause of dandruff.
The anti-dandruff activity of usNeo™ has successfully been demonstrated in a new in-vivo study. A shampoo containing 2% of usNeo significantly reduced dandruff by 69.5% after 28 days of application.
