Performance and safety for wet wipes
Wet tissues are an excellent environment for the growth of bacteria, yeasts and moulds. The demand for flushable wipes and the increased use of natural ingredients make mould growth more likely. To ensure product and consumer safety, the addition of preservatives is necessary. This task is challenging considering various factors in the choice of a suitable preservative, such as broad efficacy, low toxicological profile, global approval, actives not under public discussion, soft, etc.
