Membrane Stabilisation For Fast Skin Regeneration: Lessons From Ressurrection Plants

The South African resurrection plant Myrothamnus flabellifolia has a unique adaptation strategy: despite its extreme environment, it survives long, hot periods of drought in a desiccated state and becomes green again within a few hours of the first drops of rain. The resurrection properties of M. flabellifolia - based on physical stabilisation and metabolic adaptation - can be applied to the skin.
