The partners plan to work together in the biotech phytocomplexes field, on what they have dubbed “a sustainable and visionary partnership”, which will combine Robertet Group's natural ingredients sourcing expertise with Aethera Biotech's scientific innovation to “increase the value of the plant world.”
The two companies said they hoped to redefine industry standards for plant-sourced active ingredients, while promoting sustainable development and preserving biodiversity.
Pioneering Robertet Group sustainably produces plant-based ingredients through environmentally friendly processes and green chemistry. The business also shared that through this partnership, it will be able to broaden its range of products to meet new customer needs. It will become the exclusive distributor of products derived from this patented technology in Europe (except in Italy).
Aethera Biotech pioneers innovative ‘Release of Optimised Plants’ technology, which it claims ensures: “100% natural ingredients without environmental contaminants, solvents, or preservatives.”
The business said that this nature-mimetic process “enables sustainable production of high-quality ingredients with proven effectiveness fostering ‘Augmented Naturality’.”
It noted that by taking this approach, it can offer permanent ingredient availability, all year round and regardless of geographical boundaries, while ensuring high safety and respect for biodiversity.
According to Robertet Group’s chief innovation officer, Olivier Maubert, this new partnership is about "reinventing traditional sourcing to meet the market's growing needs for active ingredients, while minimising our impact on the environment.”
He added that the move: “takes us to new heights of Augmented Naturality."
Meanwhile the CEO of Aethera Biotech Daniele Baghi said: “We are convinced that this technology has enormous potential yet to be explored, with a dual objective: to obtain standardised, high-quality, and effective plant phyto-complexes, and to contribute respect our planet.”
Launching new breakthrough ‘rose’ extract
The partners will be unveiling their latest collaboration at the InCosmetics Global show in Paris on 16th April.
They will reveal AQ3Rose CROP®-G, which is based around the iconic fragrance ingredient rose. According to Robertet, this is a “revolutionary, patented and standardised biotech ingredient derived from Rosa chinensis.”
The company explained that harnessing the power of a fraction of the plant yields a potent blend of polysaccharides and phytocollagen, which offers “protection against premature skin ageing” as well as “deep hydration that rejuvenates and revitalises” and that it “naturally enhances skin elasticity and firmness by stimulating the production of new collagen.”
