Leading executives from Sephora, Shiseido and Orveon will join forces to brainstorm the future of beauty tech – discussing opportunities and challenges today and revealing their five-year vision.

This week, CosmeticsDesign is hosting an exclusive and free-to-attend webinar on the future of beauty tech. This Wednesday 21 at 4pm Central European Time (CET), Beauty 4.0 – Tech, Tools and Future Trends will bring together key thought leaders to pick apart existing innovation in beauty tech horizon opportunities for brands, retailers and others in the supply chain.

From the metaverse, to digital-smart stores and gamified beauty offerings, there will be plenty of brainstorming and strategy sharing as we tackle the big question: what will the future of beauty tech look like?

Big beauty brand thinking – Sephora, Shiseido and Orveon

Alia Gogi, president of Sephora Asia, is set to talk more about what the retail major’s latest ‘store of the future’ will look like in Singapore and Shanghai, and what such a development might mean to its wider global network and beauty tech beyond.

Juliana Chu, VP of digital and e-commerce at Shiseido APAC, will discuss some of the beauty brand major’s latest tools and innovations and why some of them have been hugely successful, giving a glimpse on what’s to come.

Salima Popatia, chief digital officer at Orveon, is set to bring forward thinking on community building and how digital efforts may, or may not, look different in the prestige beauty category versus mass.

Wider market learnings – Mintel and The Virtual Events Group

Beyond the brands, we will also hear from Andrew McDougall, global director of beauty and personal care research at Mintel, who will be talking about current consumer drivers and needs that are shaping beauty tech opportunities today. He is also set to discuss how all of this may look different on a global stage and in various markets.

Robin Raskin, founder of The Virtual Events Group, will also bring her wider tech expertise to the table, digging into what beauty can perhaps learn from the other tech-forward industries and how virtual events and platforms, like the metaverse, will likely play an important role in the future of beauty moving forward.

But our experts won’t just be focusing on opportunities and promise, they are here to unfold some of the biggest hurdles facing success in this space; talk about some of the wider issues influencing beauty and consumers; and brainstorm how industry can tackle some of the world’s major ongoing challenges like sustainability and economic downturn.
