Indie Beauty Expo in London next month: why attend, and what to expect
The independent beauty market in Europe is about to welcome a new dedicated trade event to London.

The Indie Beauty Expo (IBE) was founded in north America, where the indie beauty market is has been gathering strong momentum in recent years, and now it has set up show in London, and will also host a Berlin edition in March.

The London edition takes place 24th and 25th of October. It includes a ‘Shop Indie’ day, dedicated to the general public, on 24th, and a ‘Trade Indie’ day, dedicated to industry professionals.

Full details of the event can be discovered here.

Moving to Europe: indie beauty takes centre stage

It’s a sign that indie beauty is on the rise globally, as independent players move with more agility, due to their size, than more established, larger players.

Indie brands can also be reactive to niche consumer demands and respond rapidly to feedback, making the most of online and digital platforms in order to offer an authentic, engaged brand profile.

Independent brands are among the fastest growing product categories,” say the show’s organisers.

They are capturing consumer attention, influencing trends, and becoming a coveted part of retailer collections.

“The Indie Beauty Expo (IBE) was founded to support the growth and success of independent beauty brands and the entrepreneurs behind them. Since its launch in 2015, IBE has grown to become the largest professionally-curated event of its kind.”
