DOW launches packaging innovation competition
The company describes the awards as an international competition bringing together the best innovations in commercial packaging, recognizing breakthroughs in technology, customer experience and responsible packaging.
Entries are being accepted until April 12, 2018, with all necessary forms and information available here.
These awards are a continuation of the competition previously known as the DuPont Awards for Packaging Innovation, established in 1986, explains Dow.
“Dow carries on the tradition of assembling an independent panel of leading international packaging judges from a great variety of disciplines, to provide the awards with a global perspective across design, engineering, retail, converting and academia,” the company says.
Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics is one of the largest polyethylene producers in the world, and is a leading innovator and collaborator across the value chain on technologies and applications that are high performing and sustainable.
Packaging in the spotlight
“In its 30th year, the Awards for Packaging Innovation celebrate innovation and collaboration in packaging throughout the entire value chain,” says Diego Donoso, business president for Dow Packaging & Specialty Plastics.
“The awards recognize companies that promote technological advancement, enhance customer product experiences and demonstrate responsible packaging, and winning products demonstrate how they truly have the power to change lives.”
Entry is free and applicants are not required to use Dow or DuPont materials in the products they enter.
As in previous years, all of the products in the 2018 30th Awards for Packaging Innovation must be commercially available when they are entered.
This year, the awards feature a streamlined entry process with a simplified online form to complete, submit and track entries, as well as upload accompanying images and videos.
