Sederma snaps up award for anti-ageing leg care ingredient

- Last updated on GMT

Ingredients supplier Sederma has been awarded the Frost & Sullivan 2012 European New Product Innovation Award for its product Legance, which provides anti-ageing for leg care.

The selection of the award is based on analysis looking into four criteria: efficacy, technology, consumer benefits and potential market penetration.

Legance is based on a vegetal extract of Zingiber zerumbet produced by an environment-friendly technology, and is the first of its kind in the market to be designed to provide anti-ageing benefits especially for the legs, according to Sederma.

“Legance is best poised to penetrate the leg care market, a niche developing segment of the personal care market, which currently lacks an ingredient targeting such challenges,” says the company.
