Panasonic adds to compact beauty series as the electronics market continues to boom
With consumers seeking an alternative, cheaper option in beauty, demand for at-home electronic devices has seen dramatic sales growth in recent years, with brands not traditionally of cosmetic background catering to the sector.
Panasonic’s newest trio - a heated eyelash curler, precision body shaver and a facial hair trimmer heads up a long list of facial steamers, pore cleansers, and bikini trimmers the company specifically designed for the cosmetics industry.
“Our new line of compact tools answers the growing need for on-the-go beauty solutions,” says Group Marketing Manager, Walter Taffarello.
According to market analyst Kline, epilating devices and electrical or luminous packaging including vibrating or turning mascaras are just a few types of electronic devices trending in the sector so far this year.
Collaboration
Last year, Panasonic and Shiseido teamed up to cater to the ever growing segment for Panasonic’s Ultrasonic Beauty Device Handy Mist, a portable moisturising device whereby Shiseido created a special 30ml size of its AquaLabel moisture lotion for the beauty device.
The device 14cm long, is battery powered and contains a tank which can be filled up with the AquaLabel moisture lotion which then releases a spray of fine mist through an ultrasonic micro vibrating mesh, applicable for the entire body.
