Evonik teams up with BRAIN for microorganism development
Speciality chemicals company Evonik has joined forces with white biotechnology company BRAIN, to identify and develop suitable microorganisms, which, by using their adsorption properties, will specifically introduce novel physical properties to the selected surfaces.
BRAIN will contribute its expertise in biotechnology, microbiology and the development of pilot processes, while Evonik will be responsible for the technical implementation and marketing of the products.
“For BRAIN, the collaboration announced today is another proof of the versatility and creativity of biology and especially of the microorganisms. We are glad, that leading chemical corporations use our “toolbox of nature” with the goal to increase the value of the corporation”, says Dr Holger Zinke, BRAIN CEO.
