Cosmetic Valley and Pole PASS sign collaborative agreement

Cosmetic Valley has signed an agreement with Pole PASS to extend co-operation between the two French trade groups.

The objective of the partnership is to “develop the collaboration and synergies between the two centres of excellence in order to support the competitiveness of their members”.

Representing clusters of cosmetic firms in France

Cosmetic Valley represents 400 cosmetics and perfume businesses in North West France helping to develop better co-operation between beauty firms and support the development of cosmetic science. The organisation also promotes the activity of its members in foreign markets.

Pole PASS operates largely under the same mandate but represents producers of aromas and perfumes in South East France. The association brings together 550 businesses along with a network of scientists working in 32 public research labs.

An action plan to work together for growth

Under the new partnership agreement, an action plan will be devised to develop a common strategy related to innovation and growth.

In a statement, the two groups said reinforcing links between ingredient providers and finished product manufacturers constitutes a guarantee of success for the launch of innovative products.

The organisations gave some idea of how they would work together in order to fulfill this expectation. The plan of action will target four areas; identification of collaborative projects and possibilities, identification of synergies, support for relationships between members and promotion of each other.

Alban Muller, President of Cosmetics Valley and Han Paul Bodifée, president of Pole PASS signed the partnership agreement in Grasse on Friday.

The business leaders said the partnership would enhance the leadership position of the French cosmetics and perfume industry.
