A new skin care range called Alexis MD Pure Beauty has been
launched, containing an antioxidant-rich formulation that
pledges to reverse premature skin aging at the cellular level.

Developed by Alexis Parker, managing director of a skin rejuvenation clinic in Denver, Colorado, the line has been formulated to tackle stresses caused by poor diet, radiation exposure from the sun and a range of pollutant factors. But as well as containing a range of powerful active ingredients to boost the formulation's functionality, the range likewise taps into one of the biggest industry trends - natural products. Formulation claimed to be toxin-free "The beauty of your skin is dependent upon the foods you eat, the environmental exposure you tolerate, the toxins you endure and, most importantly, and something you can absolutely control, the products you use on your skin," said Parker. An important claim is the fact that the range contains no toxins, a point that Parker says is crucial because of the number of skin care products that include ingredients such as paraben preservatives, which can compromise efficacy and have also been linked to medical problems. Instead of using harsh preservatives, the line has been formulated using naturally derived pure essential oils which have anti-bacterial properties that provide excellent preservative and stabilizing properties, according to the company. Essential oils as preservatives Essential oils are being increasingly used in a range of personal care products as a means of providing chemical-free anti-bacterial, antifungal or antiviral properties. Although the inclusion of some essential oils in personal care formulations has caused concern in the past, the Parker claims that the oils have no harmful effects on either the skin or anywhere else on the body. The formulation contains a variety of natural and active ingredients, which include alpha and beta hydroxyl acids, peptides, vitamins A and C, CoQ10, retinol, and green tea, which combine to provide what is described as unprecedented antioxidant properties. The premium product line, which is only available through Lasair Aesthetic Health, includes 11 products in three categories, which includes cleansers, moisturizers, creams and rejuvenating serums.
