Background
1964 - Company creation, initially as a specialist in wood-preservation formulas for industry
1973 - Plant extraction activity begins following a collaboration with the University of Bordeaux.
1990 - Development of expertise in pine bark and grape seed. Fine chemistry. Berkem becomes an expert in the extraction of purified activators from plants.
2008 - Berkem takes on new challenges and new markets - agribusiness, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals - while continuing its traditional specialties, pine and grapes.
2010 - Berkem launches the Berkemyol line: these are vectorized polyphenols (procyanidolic oligomers) for the cosmetics industry.
