The company already has a US subsidiary located in Seattle, WA, Indena Inc. Although it has worked with BC-based Alliance in the past, but until now its sales of herbal extracts for use in supplements and foods have been concentrated south of the border.
Indena has previously had a relationship with Alliance but the new deal, details of which have not been disclosed, means they will be available across the entire Canadian marketplace.
More than just selling the extracts, which include Greenselect green tea extract, Mirtoselect bilberry extract and Leucoselect Phytosome grape seed, Alliance will also have a part in ensuring compliance with regulatory procedures.
"The companies have already registered Master Ingredient Files for Indena products fulfilling NHP regulations," said Alliance president Mark Greenhalgh.
