The advent of broadline is helping to make the process quicker and faster and major retailers in the country can now cater to around 90 per cent of the population.
However, one of the major stumbling blocks remains the wait for delivery, with Mintel’s survey results revealing that 21 per cent of respondents complaining about having to wait for deliveries.
Online grocery shopping is estimated to reach £4.4bn (€4.8bn) in 2009, which represents a massive growth of 134 per cent since 2005.
