Switzerland-based tube manufacturer Neopac has expanded its range of Polyfoil tubes with the new Ribbontip closure from Seaquist Closures.

According to Neopac, the wide-shaped closure combines even product distribution with streamlined dispensing, and is suitable for a variety of skin care applications including anti-ageing formulations and those destined for the eye area.

Reduced contamination

As the dispensing valve allows the product to be applied directly to the skin, contamination of the product is reduced as contact with fingers is avoided, the company says.

Additionally, the silicone valve recloses after the product is dispensed and pressure on the tube is released. This works to cut off the product flow and ensures hygiene is maintained.

Polyfoil tubes contain a thin aluminum barrier coated on both sides with plastic, which makes them particularly suitable for sensitive product formulations, according to Neopac.

The company states that the tubes show high barrier and preservation properties, protecting against light, moisture and oxygen as well as being corrosion-resistant and displaying high impermeability to organic and chemical substances

Customization options

Neopac’s Polyfoil tube with Ribbontip closure, which has a slit size of 3.8mm, is available in a variety of sizes (lengths of between 45-160mm and volumes of between 5 and 25ml).

According to Neopac, as the tube seam is invisible, the packaging can be printed all round, with the company offering silkscreen printing, hotfoil stamping, lacquering and metallic decoration options.

Ribbontip is the latest addition to the Softips line of silicone valve dispensing closures for personal care products offered by AptarGroup subsidiary, Seaquist.

Also included in the range is the Pinpoint closure, which offers precise dispensing of formulations and has been used by companies such as L'Oreal and Neutrogena.
