Adding to its wide selection of foam technology dispensers, Dutch-origin non-aerosol dispenser specialist Airspray was demonstrating its new 'foaming fragrance' concept this week at the 2003 HBA Health Beauty America Show.
Company officials unveiled the concept at Cosmoprof earlier this year, and Airspray says it has received extremely positive trade response.
The company says the value-added provided by a foaming fragrance can help set new products apart in an increasingly crowded marketplace, adding that end-user appeal can be obtained from both perceived quality and luxury, and efficient, easy usage.
The new technology allows the consumer to apply the precise amount of product - to exactly the correct spot - without drips, mess, stains and waste. The creamy feel of the instant, one-touch foam also adds a touch of luxury to the product.
The dispensers involve computer engineered mechanisms that allow a precise mixture of liquid and air with a single press of the button. Valve technology has been used to ensure reliability and ease-of-use and the company claims that even shaking the product before use does not affect the quality of the foam.
In addition, unlike some mechanical foam dispensers, Airspray foamers can be fully filled and emptied completely, due to the angular design of the dip tube, which facilitates use of the dispenser at an angle.
According to Airspray, potential new products and line extensions for men and women include, amongst others, subcategories in perfumes, colognes, aftershave lotions, body perfumes, sport scents - for home, travel and health club applications.
Customers can select from a range of custom colours and container shapes, including square, triangular, domed, oval or flat, a flexibility which is particularly useful in the fragrance market, where attractive packaging can be critical to product success.
