A roll on sponge applicator produced for L’Oreal’s new foundation compact allows for perfect application quickly and easily, claims manufacturer Alcan Packaging.

The Roll’on Accord Parfait was created by Michel Limongi at Alcan Packaging Beauty and is a cylindrical sponge applicator designed to reproduce the flawless result often seen with professional sponge application.

“Today’s demanding women are looking for the right technique to apply their foundation correctly and reproduce a professional result,” Limongi explained.

According to the packaging company, a gentle movement is enough to deposit a light covering of the product, evenly on the face.

Flexibility and pores

“The secret is a sponge material with the optimal flexibility and number of pores to deliver the right dose,” Limongi continued.

L’Oreal’s foundation has been formulated to have the right weight and consistency to work well with this kind of applicator.

“It’s lined, mini-roller shape ensures that product is applied evenly to every part of the face, even the most difficult to reach areas,” he said.

Although this is the first time the company has released a rolling applicator for a compact foundation, it has launched similar applicators in other product sectors, explained Alcan director of communications Dalila Safir.

“We have years of expertise in smart applicators which help differentiate our approach to innovation,” she said, adding that the company’s applicators are created with the idea of bringing noticeable benefits to the end user.

L’Oreal’s Roll’on Accord Parfait will be launched globally this month.
