CosmeticsDesign-Europe.com spoke to Brigitte Weiss development manager of the European base of Seram International, a company that specialises in textile transfers about the trend.
“Textile transfers are an innovative way for a brand to accessorize, decorate, embellish and enrich a fragrance product. The market has been looking for textile dressing for a long time,” reveals Weiss.
Seram International, operating since 1986 initially provided its clients with textile pouches for perfume bottles to fit into. “We have evolved from providing pouches to transferring fabric onto bottles due to the shift in the market,” she adds.
As the shift moved in demand, Weiss says the company adapted and worked on a new process to glue complex shapes to completely dress a brand’s bottle.
Today, Seram designs and manufactures more then 250million accessories such as textile ornaments, bows, flowers, ribbons, tassels, jewels, hanging trims and embroideries for its cosmetic industry clients.
