Davi Skincare has announced the launch of its luxury skin care range at Selfridge's in London, as part of the US-based company's plans for international expansion.

Davi launched its grape extract skin care products in the prestigious US department store, Bergdorf Goodman in October 2006, and now wishes to conquer the international luxury cosmetics market.

The company's grape-based skin care range for men and women is aimed at the premium sector, with Le Grand Cru anti-ageing cream - the company's piece de la resistance - retailing at just under £100 (€140).

Le Grand Cru delivers antioxidants and moisture to the skin, transforming dry, dull skin into younger, more radiant complexions, according to the company.

The women's range includes a lotion with SPF 30, a purifying cleanser, and a toning mist, whilst men can purchase a shaving cream, an exfoliating cleanser and an after shave product.

Other products in the range contain Meritage, an anti-ageing, antioxidant complex containing grape and fermented wine extracts, green tea, raspberry, blackcurrant and bilberry extracts.

The range launch comes as part of the company's plans for expansion within the luxury market.

"Selfridges caters to a discerning clientele that enjoys luxury products…it is our plan to work with only the finest stores as we expand our international presence," said Carlo Mondavi co founder of Davi skincare.

Similarly, the launch of the skin care range in premium Hong Kong retailer Lane Crawford was announced yesterday, and the company hopes it will provide a platform from which the range can tackle the luxury cosmetics market in the region.
