Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna has partnered with BeautyEurasia organisers, Ipekyolu Exhibitions, to develop the annual trade show for the beauty and cosmetics sector held in Istanbul.

The organiser of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna, SoGeCos (wholly owned by the BolognaFiere Group), will be in charge of international marketing for BeautyEurasia, as well as working in conjunction with another BFG company on international sales.

In this capacity, SoGeCos will ensure that all companies interested in developing business opportunities in the Eurasia region benefit from professional and easy access relating to the organization of their participation.

Speaking about the partnership, SoGeCos managing director, Aureliana De Sanctis, said: “Ipekyolu is an ideal partner for growing our business in the Eurasian region. We share a common view on the opportunities presented to us by the Eurasia region and are delighted to collaborate on the project.”

In 2009, BeautyEurasia attracted more than 340 exhibitors from 40 countries and over 17,000 professional visitors.

Cosmetics companies are increasingly targeting emerging markets in order to boost sales. Turkey boasts a significant domestic market according to BeautyEurasia, and is the world’s 16th largest economy.

Additionally, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna said in a statement that not only does the Istanbul show open up business opportunities in the Turkish market, but also with the surrounding regions including the Balkans, Middle East, North Africa and Central Asia.

The 6th edition of show is scheduled to be held on 17th -19th June 2010 at the Tuyap Exhibition Centre, Istanbul.
