Cosmeeting 2014 to open its doors in Paris next week

A re-branded and re-vamped Cosmeeting 2014 will open its doors in Paris from September 9 – 11, promising to highlight the latest trends and products.

Staged once again at Port de Versailles, in pavilion 4, the event has come to be known as one of the premier platforms in Europe for emerging and innovative beauty brands.

This year the organizers are promising around 230 exhibitors, of which 50% are from overseas and 60% will be presenting new products or ranging during the course of the event.

Likewise, attendance is set to continue growing, with around 21,500 industry professionals set to come through the doors, an estimated 44% of which will be international visitors from around 90 countries.

Event split into six exhibition areas

Covering six core components, the exhibition floor will compose Cosmeeting – showcasing niche to mass brands, Nat & Bio – highlighting the natural trend, Zoom – for emerging brands, Spa Corner, Cosmeeting Color – dedicated to ethnic beauty and Cosmetics Selective – for established brands.

The event also includes a competition – The Beauty Challenger Awards – which showcases the most successful brands of tomorrow, the prizes for which are selected by a panel of judges comprising distributors, the press, bloggers and brand owners.

New to the awards this year will be the Online Shopper Award, highlighting the best campaigns and websites online, with the winning entry benefitting from its own dedicated selling area on dedicated online shopping portal Beauteprivee.fr.

Full service solutions

The event is also geared towards the various componentry of the industry, from ingredients to packaging, right up to finished products, which is showcased by the BBLAB and the new Advanced Ingredient Award (AIA).

BBLAB is a conceptual area that projects future trends by looking at current trends, and will be a showcase for some of the leading formulations and ingredients suppliers from the industry.

Meanwhile, the new AIA will acknowledge the best formulation and ingredients innovations from the top 100 cosmetics brands, including L’Oreal, Yves Rocher, Estee Lauder and Jean-Claude Biguine.
