Rahn brings Korean ingredients to Europe
Switzerland-based fine chemicals specialist Rahn has forged a partnership with Korean ingredients player BioLeaders that will see its ingredients distributed in Europe for the first time.

BioLeaders has built a reputation for itself as an innovative South Korean company supplying the cosmetics and personal care world through advanced ingredients that are based on both solid science and clinical data.

But as the next step in its evolution it has been looking to partner with bigger companies in an effort to increase its global footprint, an aim that is being fulfilled with Rahn partnership.

Bringing two new ingredient to Europe

The newly-inked deal will see the two companies work in close co-operation for the distribution within Europe, starting with two of its leading ingredients.

Those ingredients will be Gamma-Oligo and Gamma- MAX replace which have been launched to replace the two products formerly known as AquaMAX LM and AquaMAX HM represented, previously represented by CP Kelco.

According to the development team at BioLeaders, Gamma-Oligo and Gamma-MAX are types of natural polyglutamic acid, which aim to provide significantly improved functionalities and novel modes of action for a wide range of skin care formulations.

More specifically, the ingredients are said to contribute to the formulation of differentiated skin care products by enhancing and extending critical Hyaluronic Acid functionalities, improving skin moisture, skin structure and skin health.

Synthetic silk biopolymer supplier AMSilk has teamed up with Rahn for the Zurich-based company to distribute two of its cosmetics ingredients in several European countries.

Partnership with AmSilk

Back in March of this year, Rahn confirmed that it was partnering with to distribute AMsilk’sSilkgel (hydrogel) and Silkbeads (microparticles) ingredients, which contain silk biopolymers manufactured using a unique biotechnological process, and claim to give personal care products protective properties

Both of these ingredients are used in personal care and cosmetic products thanks to functional properties such as creating a breathable shield against harmful environmental factors and bacteria; and they can also store and transport ingredients thereby prolonging their efficacy.

To expand distribution in Europe, AMSilk signed an agreement with Rahn about selling Silkgel and Silkbeads in several European countries; and this will cover Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Monaco, Great Britain, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Poland.
