France-based ingredients provider Rousselot claims that clinical studies have proven the anti-ageing effects of its collagen peptide nutricosmetics formulation.
The new range of cosmetics ingredients, Peptan, is made up of the skin regenerative SR marine and the moisture retentive MR marine.
In-vitro tests showed Peptan SR boosted fibroblast proliferation by 18 per cent and increased the synthesis of collagen by 22.5 per cent.
The preservative-free ingredients are available in powder form, and their lack of odour means they are suitable for use in non-perfumed formulations, the company says.
