The company is further venturing into the skin care segment by partnering up with Azelis who will going forward, be the distributor for CareSil in Europe, a new silicone-based ingredient brand.

The brand will also be developed for colour cosmetics and sun care products including moisturizers, skin repair serums and anti-wrinkle lotions, and distributed by the application solutions expert Azelis, for the French, Italian, Benelux, and Canadian markets.

With the company’s expertise in product innovation and quality, it is an ideal fit to be partnered with NuSil’s new brand, which offers personal care formulators the most pristine silicone in the industry,” say Azelis reps on the venture.

The CareSil range is being developed around the company’s silicone expertise and customer service to deliver what it terms as being ‘medical quality meet the needs of virtually any skin care application’ and will feature the likes of its advanced light-refracting phenyl silicones and ingredients for wrinkle treatment formulations.

Broad spectrum of skin care ingredients

According to NuSil, Azelis is well placed in the market to distribute this range of materials as pure, medical-quality ingredients for products targeting the repair, protection, and maintenance of skin.

Head of Azelis corporate communications Gillian Berry adds, “I am certain that the new materials for skin care will be a strong addition to our portfolio and will enable our customers to develop high performance products in the countries mentioned.”

Nusil believes that it is its experience in the medical sector that has lent it the capabilities required to launch into the personal category by giving it a clear understanding of both the regulatory environment due to its experience with both medical implant and healthcare applications.

“It is this experience and connection and connection to the human body and human life that have shaped the mentality behind our skin care silicones,” adds Brian Nash, company vice president of sales and marketing.
