Estée Lauder has made two senior appointments with Chris Good promoted to President, United Kingdom and Ireland, and Sandra Main promoted to Global Brand President, La Mer.

The move has been made with the idea of both being able to grow the company in their respective roles.

Since 2012, Good has held the position of Managing Director, United Kingdom and Ireland, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s business in its largest market outside the United States.

Having been with the company for more than 20 years, holding various senior level positions globally, Good will not have too much change as he has been serving this market for years and will continue to report to the same boss: Cedric Prouvé, Group President, International, The Estée Lauder Companies.

“Chris has been instrumental in recognizing huge areas of growth for the U.K. and Ireland, helping to expand our business in this very important heritage market,” said Prouvé.

“His widely respected intelligence, strong understanding of the landscape and his strategic and inspiring leadership will help take the U.K. and Ireland to its next level of growth.”

Main at La Mer

Main is also benefitting from a promotion-from-within, having served as Senior Vice President and General Manager at La Mer since 2009, helping to grow the brand and overseeing a number of innovations and introduction of new product categories.

In her new role she will continue reporting to John Demsey, Group President, Estée Lauder, MAC, Tom Ford Beauty, Prescriptives, Bobbi Brown, La Mer, Jo Malone, Smashbox, and Bumble and bumble.

Main started at Estée Lauder in 1995 as the Hong Kong Brand Manager for MAC, and has held a number of senior positions during the international growth of the brand, before assuming the position of Senior Vice President, Bobbi Brown International before joining the La Mer brand.

“Sandra’s leadership has made the very special La Mer brand a must-have for women around the world who want the best in luxury skin care,” said Mr. Demsey.

“She is an expert in building brand equity globally and converting La Mer’s aspirational positioning into meaningful consumer experiences around the world. Her leadership is best-in-class and I believe she will be hugely successful in her new position.”

Both Good and Main are members of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Executive Leadership Team.
