BRB, a silicones, additives, chemicals and lubricants company, last year opened a new silicones plant in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and a research and development centre in Ittervoort, the Netherlands, last year.

The company states that these two moves to expand have allowed it offer an extended product range, especially for the following technologies:

• Dimethicone copolyols (silicone emulsifiers)

• Alkyl dimethicones (silicone waxes)

• Amodimethicone and dimethiconol emulsions

• Trimethylsiloxysilicates (silicone resins)

• Dimethiconol blends

• Volatile low viscosity dimethicones (alternatives to cyclomethicones)

“The opening of the new plant and the new R&D center ensure long term sustainability and strong growth for BRB,” the company states.
